A Living 01:37
I work day and night I travel to the city I am free This is freedom I know because I have worked my entire life Is this living? It’s a living
2.
After this figure of speech isn’t enough I can hardly understand It’s a call for madness Starvation sets in Bark, boiled Nutrient rich We’ve killed the four pests It’s a return to the land The promise of progress Will feed and warm us Our sister’s anguish Is our brother’s keeper Will there be a witness, an end to this sufferance? Is this really living? Or am I enslaved? I find my place in line As I watch from the outside Our children do not eat I understand why It’s for the greater good We pick the bones of rats I learn to understand Time goes in circles The promise of progress Has left us cold and wan A product of history As it is happening We’re hardly succeeding We’re barely living We cannot escape this This isn’t real No more, enough, why?

An Oddity 02:20
The oddities of your kinsmen Hold a rather strange matter of opinion Five odysseys of forgiveness It is a fallacy for the poor I’ve bifurcated the two oceans Separated men from their children Society’s final diversion To assimilate and pervert Trial reasoning in execution Is a measured means for our progress Razed to the ground in absolution Left to sit in filth and rags The oddities of your kinsmen Will separate your men from children Society’s final position Is obedience as a dog

In Tumult 01:13
6.
Chinese lay down the tracks Watch as your work burns Razed, in the name of beauty You cannot have the dignity of the indignant You must be polite For in your moment of despair, You speak for all of your kind For society is polite And we only have room for neutered chinamen Assimilate and conform There’s another confusion There are oddities in abundance While commiserating in time Go away, displace to the interior I can hardly afford another week There’s another intrusion Bite your tongue and prepare for me Their stares will burn cold
7.
Vredens Dag 04:32
A woman married in strife She must beg for decency The pastor finds warmth in her youth For a girl is a woman in miniature She is her mother’s daughter Strength, she has He retreats in comfort, as their stares burn cold The local parishioners gather around One more in the pit, her fate is sealed Children play unto the tolling of bells
8.
I drift towards the Fujian Tulou In retreat from the coast With me, a family divine Trembling we walk in time The wheel, it turns indifferent Endure and receive your reward To die and live endlessly
9.
Xiamen 04:36
I am the answer to your call Naked and wet His palms smell sour For he’s been at it again And I am a weak man I cannot look at his face I will distract myself The floor is soaked with urine I am an embarrassment Forgive me

A conversation in passing In the moor it blooms There’s something not quite right It’s clear now I know for sure Oh no There’s a field of bodies Oh no I can’t name one Oh They are faceless Oh no I can't name one After this figure of speech isn't over Another distraction, another perplexion A waste of resources into one another To fixate, complain, into heeding a warning Another complexity; cannot be bothered To displace in haste, the solution will offer Another compulsion; distract from attention A waste of a feeling; exact in complexion Another arrangement too complex for answers A waste of resources into one another To fixate, complain, into feeding a longing To kick and to scream into heeding a warning. Another complexity; cannot be bothered To displace in haste, the solution will offer Another arrangement; too complex for answers To fixate, complain, into feeding longing Another confusion; exact in its function A waste of resources into one another To kick and to scream into heeding a warning To displace in haste the solution will offer I know why it doesn’t Seem to make much sense In the retrospect and We are all waiting for one last Shred of our own dignity and We are all nodding in acquiescence I know why it persists In great shame, we fool ourselves into disbelief Does it make it easier to feel that a lie is real, "That we will progress” Is ignorance bliss? I know in desperation that we fail to see What makes us even try to to feel when a lie is real I know we’re enabling The state to go on; the fear of unknown We are but a lonely race As we’re forced to explode Into oblivion
